Rachel Donnelson Robards Jackson

Rachel Donelson Robards Jackson (1767-1828) was born 15 Jun. 1767 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia, British Colonial America. She was the daughter of John Donelson and Rachel Stockley. She married Lewis Robards about 1 Mar. 1785 in Lincoln Co., Virginia; divorced 27 Sep. 1793. She married Andrew Jackson in 1791 in Natchez, Spanish West Florida and on 18 Jan. 1794 in Nashville, Davidson Co., Southwest Territory. She died 22 Dec. 1828 in Nashville. She was one of the eminent women for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
