Mary Ball Washington

Mary Ball Washington (abt. 1707-1789) was born about 1707 in Fredericksburg, Lancaster Co, Virginia, British Colonial America. She was the daughter of Joseph Ball and Mary Johnson. She married Augustine Washington on 6 Mar. 1730 in Lancaster Co., Virginia, British Colonial America, and they had six children; widowed 12 Apr. 1743. She died 25 Aug. 1789 in Fredericksburg. She was one of the eminent women for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
