Mary Ann Eden Spalding Brougham

Mary Ann (Marianne) Eden Spalding Brougham (1786-1865) was born 18 Sep. 1786 in Kent, England. She was the daughter of Thomas Eden and Mariana Jones. She married John Spalding on 19 Dec. 1807 in Beckenham, London, Middlesex, England, and they had two children; widowed 26 Aug. 1815. She married Henry Peter Brougham on 1 Apr. 1819, and they had two children. She died 12 Jan. 1865 in Brighton, Sussex, England. She was one of the eminent women for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
