John Washington

John Washington (abt. 1634-abt. 1677) was born about 1634 in Purleigh, Essex, England. He was the son of Lawrence Washington and Amphyllis Twigden. He married Ann Pope before 12 May 1659; widowed in 1669. He married Anne Brodhurst Brett; widowed after 21 Sep. 1675. He married Frances Gerrard Appleton. He died before 10 Jan. 1678 and was buried in Latanes, Westmoreland Co., Virginia, British Colonial America. He was one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
