John Quincy Adams

John Quincy Adams (1767-1848) was born 11 Jul. 1767 in Braintree, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts Bay, British Colonial America. He was the son of John Adams and Abigail Smith. He married Louisa Catherine Johnson on 26 Jul. 1797. He was a U.S. Representative of Massachusetts while Wilford Woodruff was serving a mission in the area. He died 23 Feb. 1848 in Washington, D.C.. He was one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
