Isabella Gethin Creagh Shawe Thackeray (1816-1894) was born 5 Dec. 1816 in Bengal, British India. She was the daughter of Mathew Shawe and Isabella Creagh. She married William Makepeace Thackeray on 20 Aug. 1836 in Paris, France. She died 11 Jan. 1894 in London, Middlesex, England. She was one of the eminent women for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
