Ruth E. Carter Plummer
Ruth E. Carter Plummer (1831-1896) was born 26 Jul. 1831 in Scarborough, Cumberland Co., Maine. She was the daughter of Joseph Fabyan Carter and Rhoda Milliken, and a niece of Phebe Whittemore Carter Woodruff. She married Charles G. Plummer on 8 Nov. 1849 in Scarborough, and they had two children. She received a visit from Wilford Woodruff on 3 Mar. 1850 in Scarborough and was mentioned in a letter Ilus Fabyan Carter wrote to Wilford on 12 Apr. 1854. She died 25 Nov. 1896 in Dover, Bureau Co., Illinois.
