Mathew H. Woodruff
Mathew H. Woodruff (1847-1924) was born 6 Mar. 1847 in Murphysboro, Jackson Co., Illinois. He was the son of Mathew Woodruff and Ruby L. Bell and a distant relative of Wilford Woodruff. He married Mary Emma Woodruff on 6 Jul. 1866 in Southington, Hartford Co., Connecticut; widowed 3 Nov. 1877. He married Martha (Jennie) A. Lackee on 6 Sep. 1884 in West Avon, Hartford Co., Connecticut. He was mentioned as "father" in a letter from Dwight Clinton Woodruff to Wilford Woodruff written 12 July 1897. He died 10 Dec. 1924 in Boston, Suffolk Co., Massachusetts.
