John Harris, b. 1805

John Harris (1805-1870) was christened 10 Nov. 1805 in South Molton, Devonshire, England. He was the son of George Harris and Grace Stevens. He married Elizabeth Morrris on 7 Oct. 1837 in South Molton. He published a pamphlet entitled An explanation of the Masonic Plate; showing the emblems of each degree from the entered apprentice to the Royal Arch or Five Orders of Masonry, and parts of this pamphlet were copied by Wilford Woodruff on 9 May 1845. He died 21 Sep. 1870 in Bristol, Bristol, England.
