George Burket

George Burket (1788-1871) was born 18 Oct. 1788 in Bedford, Bedford Co., Pennsylvania. He was the son of George Burket Sr and Catharine Swovelin. He married Sarah Smith in 1810; widowed. He married Elizabeth Evans in 1846. He was baptized in 1831 in Randolph Co., Indiana. He hosted Wilford Woodruff and the Zion's Camp on his land in 1834. He died 15 Mar. 1871 in Eden, Weber Co., Utah Territory.
