Edmund Burke (1729-1757) was born 12 Jan. 1729 in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland. He was the son of Richard Burke and Mary Nagle. He married Jane Nugent on 12 Mar. 1757 in London, Middlesex, England. He died 9 Jul. 1797 in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, England. His proxy temple ordinance work was initiated on 21 Aug. 1877, the same day Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy ordinance work for other eminent men and women in the St. George Utah Temple.
