Caesar Augustus (NT)

Caesar Augustus was the first Roman emperor and issued the decree that brought Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem to be taxed, fulfilling the prophecy that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem. He is a scriptural figure in the New Testament referred to by Wilford Woodruff.
