Benjamin Lynn Clapp (1814-1865) was born 19 Aug. 1814 in West Huntsville, Madison Co., Alabama. He was the son of Lewis Ludwick Clapp and Margaret Ann Loy. He married Mary Rachael Schultz; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 21 Jun. 1835. He attended the Terrapin Station Branch in Calloway Co., Kentucky when Wilford Woodruff was a missionary there in 1835. He died 21 Oct. 1865 in San Joaquin Co., California.
