Asa Cossett, b. 1783

Asa Cossett (Cossitt) Jr. (1783-1826) was born 24 May 1783 in Granby, Hartford Co., Connecticut. He was the son of Asa Cossitt and Mary Cole and a distant relative of Azuba Hart, Wilford Woodruff’s step-mother. He married Rachel Seymour Steele on 19 Mar. 1811 in West Hartford, Hartford Co., Connecticut. He died 30 Jun. 1826 in Granby. His proxy temple ordinance work was initiated by Wilford Woodruff on 1 Jun. 1870.
