Andrew Jackson Allen

Andrew Jackson Allen (1818-1884) was born 5 Sep. 1818 in Somerset, Pulaski Co., Kentucky. He was the son of Rial Allen and Margaret Evins. He married Delilah Andrus on 29 Apr. 1841 in Wadesboro, Calloway Co., Kentucky; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized in Apr. 1846 in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. He sustained Wilford Woodruff as the head of a pioneer company in 1847 in Winter Quarters (later Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska). He died 18 Jul. 1884 in Draper, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory.
