Alphonso Young
Alphonso Young (1805-abt. 1864) was born 23 Sep. 1805 in Smith Co., Tennessee. He was the son of John Young and Aley Bibb Witcher. He married Nancy Roberson on 21 Feb. 1829 in Sumner Co., Tennessee. He was selected by Wilford Woodruff and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in 1844 to be part of an expedition to California. He died about 1864 in Nebraska Territory.
