Abraham Owen Smoot

Abraham Owen Smoot (1815-1895) was born 17 Feb. 1815 in Kentucky. He was the son of George Smoot and Nancy Rowlett. He married Margaret T. Atkinson on 12 Nov. 1838 in Caldwell Co., Missouri; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 22 Mar. 1835 in Henry Co., Tennessee. He served with Wilford Woodruff as a missionary in the Southern States Mission in 1835 and 1836. He died 6 Mar. 1895 in Provo, Utah Co., Utah Territory.
