Day in the Life

Transcript

On May 22, 1846 Wilford Woodruff left Nauvoo for what he felt was the last time. He wrote in his journal,

“I looked upon the Temple & City of Nauvoo As I retired from it & felt to ask the Lord to preserve it as A monument of the sacrifice of his saints”

Elder Holland has said, “To be a follower of Jesus Christ, one must sometimes carry a burden—your own or someone else’s—and go where sacrifice is required and suffering is inevitable. A true Christian cannot follow the Master only in those matters with which he or she agrees. No. We follow Him everywhere.”

The Saints in Nauvoo are great examples to me of dedicating their lives to Christ and building up the Kingdom of God.

What is something you can do in your life to make a personal sacrifice to the Lord?
