Transcript

On October 10, 1880 the third prophet of the Church, John Taylor, was sustained. Wilford Woodruff wrote in his journal,

“This is a great day for Israel. This is the third time the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have been called upon to organize a first Presidency of the Church. First the Prophet Joseph Smith & counselors, second when President Brigham Young & counselors were Appointed. Third when President John Taylor & counselors are now Presented to the Assembly.

Elder Orson Pratt Presented the following Authorities of the Church to the Conference all of which were unanimously sustained: John Taylor as Prophet Seer and Revelator and President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints In all the world. George Q Cannon as his first counselor in the first Presidency, Joseph F Smith as second counselor, Wilford Woodruff as President of the Twelve Apostles.”

Wilford Woodruff had a strong testimony of John Taylor as prophet. How have you gained a testimony of latter-day prophets?
