I loved this story of Wilford Woodruff as he was coming home to his family from his mission. He got caught in a swamp with rheumatism and had to stop to rest while his companion kept going. He prayed and was miraculously healed and able to continue on his way home. What an incredible miracle! But I am also amazed by what he did after that. Coming home had probably already taken longer than planned, and he probably wanted a nap and a hot bath after walking 40 miles each day through a swamp for multiple days, but instead of hurrying home, he said that he testified to everyone that he passed about God. How exhausting! He had every excuse to hurry home and see his family and finally get a break, but he was so willing to testify of Christ and so thankful for the miracles he had seen. I want to be better at reaching out to others and testifying of Christ, especially when it feels like I have every excuse not to.
