31. [FIGURE] I signed 44 Recommends. I received 20 Letters
I wrote 11 Letters 9 Public & to Jaques & Wilford
I met in council with the Twelve The subject of
the fees of the received was brought up and He
wanted $25000. it was finally agreed to by
the council that our council Richards & Young would
give them a writing to Dyer that if the court allowed
him that Mouch they would not present objections Our
^[FIGURE]^ Idaho Matters was also taken up Our Brethren
there are in a vary Critical Condition

Salt Lake City, Utah, President J. D. T. McAllister. St. George. Dear Brother: Your letter of Oct. 25, 1888, with the financial report of the St. George Temple, to June 30, 1888, came duly to hand. The report is very satisfactory both as to the time -[Jan. 1, to June 30, 1888]- and the manner in which it is made. Your division of the year, per these reports, is correct, and we trust that your semi-annual report will come in due sea- son after the close of each half year. My health is good. Chattanooga, Tenn., . President Wilford Woodruff Salt Lake City Utah Dear Brother: While attending the Georgia conference on the 28th inst I received the painful intelligence of the death of Elder Vincent Pugmire, who had been laboring in the South Alabama conference since last February. Malarial fever was the cause of his death, although the county he was laboring in (Coffee) has always been considered tolerably healthy. In my labors among the Elders I have always striven to show them the necessity of reporting their condition regularly, particularly when their health is failing them, and in our last letter from the president of that con- ference all was reported well.
