Jan 20 I wrote a Letter to Father
Carter of Maine. I have been
busy During the last 20 days in
building a hors Stable & cow
yard I also dug a well 23 feet
deep but the earth being exceding
dry it does not as yet offer much
water. I drove home a cow of
Mr. Robert Sadlers to have the
use of her for her keeping for a sea-
