William Paca

William Paca (1740-1799) was born 31 Oct. 1740 in Anne Arundel Co., Maryland, British Colonial America. He was the son of John Paca and Elizabeth Smith. He married Mary Chew on 26 May 1763 in Anne Arundel Co.; widowed in 1774. He married Ann Harrison on 28 Feb. 1777 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania. He died 32 Oct. 1799 in Queen Anne's Co., Maryland. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
