William Marks (1792-1872) was born 15 Nov. 1792 in Rutland, Rutland Co., Vermont. He was the son of Cornell (Cornwall) Marks and Sarah Goodrich. He married Rosannah R. Robinson on 2 May 1813. He was baptized before Apr. 1835. He and Wilford Woodruff were both in church leadership, the Nauvoo City Council, and the Nauvoo Masonic Lodge until 1844. He died 22 May 1872 in Plano, Kendall Co., Illinois.
