William Hazard Bancroft

1838-1915
William Hazard Bancroft (1838-1915) was born 20 Oct. 1838 in Chagrin Falls, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio. He was the son of Samuel O. Bancroft and Mary Brace. He married Mary Baird in Jun. 1864 in Port Jervis, Orange Co., New York. He offered the use of one of his trains to transport Wilford Woodruff's body to Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah after he died in 1898. He died 22 Apr. 1915 in Salt Lake City.
