Walter Scott

Walter Scott (1771-1832) was born 15 Aug. 1771 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was the son of Walter Scott and Anne Rutherford. He married Margaret Charlotte Carpenter on 24 Dec. 1797 in Carlisle, Cumberland, England. He died 21 Sep. 1832 in Abbotsford, Roxburgh, Scotland. He was one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
