He married Polly Wentworth on 26 Jun. 1814 in Castine, Hancock Co., Maine; widowed 18 May 1871. He married Drusilla G. Batchelder Billings about 20 Jan. 1872 in Belfast, Waldo Co., Maine. He hosted Wilford Woodruff overnight on 22 and 23 Feb. 1838 in Belfast. He died 20 Dec. 1889 in Belfast.
