Rene Cossett

Rene (Ranney) Cossett (Cossitt, Cassett) (1796-1836) was born 23 Feb. 1796 in Granby, Hartford Co., Connecticut. He was the son of Asa Cossett and Mary Cole and a distant relative of Azuba Hart, Wilford Woodruff’s step-mother. He married Marietta Stannard on 28 Oct. 1820 in Southwick, Hampden Co., Massachusetts. He died 9 Jul. 1836 in Granby. His proxy temple ordinance work was initiated by Wilford Woodruff on 1 Jun. 1870.
