Oliver Wolcott

Oliver Wolcott (1726-1797) was born 26 Nov. 1726. He was the son of Roger Wolcott and Sarah Drake. He married Laura Collins on 16 Jan. 1755 in Guilford, New Haven Co., Connecticut, British Colonial America. He died 1 Dec. 1797 in Litchfield Co., Connecticut. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
