Mary Cole Cossett

Mary Cole (Coole) Cossett (Cossitt) (1755-1813) was born 12 Sep. 1755 in Farmington, Hartford Co., Connecticut, British Colonial America. She was the daughter of Samuel Cole and Mary Dean and a distant relative of Azuba Hart, Wilford Woodruff’s step-mother. She married Asa Cossett on 30 Nov. 1777 in Claremont, Sullivan Co., New Hampshire, and they had nine children. She died 12 Aug. 1813 and was buried in Granby, Hartford Co., Connecticut. Her proxy temple ordinance work was initiated by Wilford Woodruff on 1 Jun. 1870.
