Martha A. Burgess Sylvester

Martha A. Burgess Sylvester (1818-1908) was born 5 Aug. 1818 in Vinalhaven, Hancock Co., Maine. She was the daughter of Jonathan Burgess and Hannah Airy. She married Joseph W. Sylvester on 26 Sep. 1837 in Vinalhaven, and they had nine children; Wilford Woodruff attended the wedding. She was baptized 1 Oct. 1837 on the North Fox Island, Hancock Co., Maine, and Wilford Woodruff attended. She died 25 Jun. 1908 in Rockville, Knox Co., Maine.
