John Sims Carter
1797 - 25 Jun 1834
John Sims Carter (1792-1834) was born in 1792 in Killingworth, Middlesex, Connecticut. He was the son of Gideon Carter and Johanna Sims. He married Elizabeth Kenyon on 28 Feb. 1813. He was baptized before 1832. He served on the Kirtland high council and Zion's Camp in 1834, along with Wilford Woodruff. He died in 1834 in Clay Co., Missouri.
