John Charles Fremont

John Charles Fremont (1813-1890) was born 21 Jan. 1813 in Savannah, Chatham Co., Georgia. He was the son of Jean Charles Fremon and Anne Beverley Whiting Pryor. He married Jessee Ann Benton on 19 Oct. 1841 in Washington D.C. He lost 120 mules in 1849; the event was mentioned by Wilford Woodruff in his journal. He died 13 Jul. 1890 in New York City, New York Co., New York.
