Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) was born 28 Aug. 1749 in Frankfurt am Main, Upper Rhenish Circle, Holy Roman Empire. He was the son of Johann Caspar Goethe and Catharina Elizabetha Textor. He married Johanna Christiana Sophie Vulpius on 19 Oct. 1806 in Weimar, Saxe-Weimar. He died 22 Mar. 1832 in Weimar. He was one of the eminent men for whom Wilford Woodruff initiated proxy temple ordinance work in Aug. 1877.
