Joel Ricks

Joel (Joseph) Ricks (1804-1888) was born 18 Feb. 1804 in Trigg Co., Kentucky. He was the son of Jonathan Ricks and Temperance Edwards. He married Eleanor Martin on 16 May 1827 in Trigg Co.; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 6 Jun. 1841. He was ordained a Patriarch under the direction of Wilford Woodruff on 29 Jun. 1873. He died 16 Dec. 1888 in Logan, Cache Co., Utah Territory.
