Job Taylor Smith (1828-1913) was born 2 Dec. 1828 in Deerhurst, Gloucestershire, England. He was the son of Thomas Price Smith and Ann Taylor. He married Adelaide Fowles on 5 Jan. 1852 in Bedford, Bedfordshire, England; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized 18 May 1840 in Hawkington, Gloucestershire, England. He met Wilford Woodruff on 6 Jun. 1840 and later visited Wilford Woodruff when he was sick on 27 Feb. 1844 in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. He died 3 Jan. 1913 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake Co., Utah.
