James Crockett
1777-1851
James Crockett (1777-1851) was born 27 Apr. 1777. He was the son of Isaac Crockett and Susanna Hooper. He married Elizabeth Brackett on 6 Nov. 1802 in Vinalhaven, Hancock Co., Maine. He refused to transport Wilford Woodruff from the South Fox Island to the North Fox Island in his boat on 11 Aug. 1838. He died 14 Jun. 1851 in Vinalhaven.
