Jacob B. Backenstos

Jacob B. Backenstos (1811-1857) was born 8 Oct. 1811 in Lower Paxton, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania. He was the son of Jacob Backenstos and Margaretha Theis. He married Sarah Lavina Lee about 10 Dec. 1835 in Sangamon Co., Illinois. He was mentioned in an 1845 discourse by Wilford Woodruff and an 1857 journal entry. He died 25 Sep. 1857 in Multnomah Co., Oregon Territory.
