Israel Carver

Israel Carver (1769-1856) was born 9 Jan. 1769 in Vinalhaven, Hancock Co., Maine. He was the son of Israel Carver and Margaret Sherman. He married Susanna Jewell in 1792 in Vinalhaven. He hosted Wilford Woodruff overnight on 7 Sep. 1837 on the South Fox Island, Hancock Co., Maine. He died 24 Mar. 1856 and was buried in Vinalhaven.
