George Philander Stiles

George Philander Stiles (1816-1885) was born 18 Jul. 1816 in Watertown, Jefferson Co., New York. He was the son of John Stiles and Persis Cole. He married Julian Mackemer on 7 Nov. 1841. He was baptized 26 Aug. 1844. He served with Wilford Woodruff in church and political positions from 1846 to 1854 in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois and Utah Territory. He died Sep. 1885 in Belton, Bell Co., Texas.
