Francis Holmes
Francis Holmes (Homes) (1815-1868) was christened 7 Jul. 1815 in Pencombe, Herefordshire, England. He was the son of Francis Homes and Elizabeth Derry. He married Hannah Grittins on 13 May 1839 in Cradley, Herefordshire, England; widowed in 1841. He married Jane Hunt Melling (Mealon) on 4 Mar. 1843 in Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois. He was baptized by Wilford Woodruff on 31 May 1840. He died 30 Aug. 1868 in Montrose, Lee Co., Iowa.
