Ensign Israel Stocking

Ensign Israel Stocking (1836-1883) was born 6 Sep. 1836 in Westfield, Hampden Co., Massachusetts. He was the son of John Jay Stocking and Catherine Emeline Ensign, and a brother of Sarah Delight Stocking, who married Wilford Woodruff. He married Elizabeth Ellen Arnold on 18 Apr. 1863 in Great Salt Lake City, Great Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory; participated in plural marriage. He was baptized in 1844. He died 11 Jul. 1883 in Herriman, Salt Lake Co., Utah Territory.
